As we age the stem cells in our epidermis lose their ability to regenerate, resulting in cataplasia, that is, the degenerative reversion of those skin cells. Dermis tissues face an even worse fate in mature years as they die off and drastically reduce in number, preventing our skin from healing while also causing our skin to lose elasticity, resulting in wrinkles and dark spots.

Plant callus extracts are crucial to fighting the visible signs of aging, as they possess the ability to regenerate and differentiate into diverse cells types. Callus cells are those that cover a plant's wounds. These cells help plants recover from tissue damage. In the beauty industry, callus extracts can be used to repair damaged skin and help the skin retain its elasticity. When such extracts are applied to skin, skin cells are energized, which helps to restore the skin's youthful and healthy glow. Unlike conventional plant extracts, plant callus extracts do not contain pesticide residues or contaminants, which is a further benefit.

Peptides are little chains of amino acids that are not quite long enough to be deemed a protein. Peptides are important in various ways and can be used as hormones, neurotransmitters, and natural pain relievers. The skin contains natural peptides, which contribute to the structural strength of the skin and keep it plump and firm. There are different types of peptides with different functions in cellular signaling to instruct our cells which specific pathways should be activated and which specific goals should be accomplished. For this reason, peptides are particularly effective as skin care ingredients which will help reduce wrinkles and improve skin quality.

Neuropeptides

Neuropeptides (peptides occurring in the nervous system) are small, protein-like molecules that help neurons communicate with each other. Neuropeptides are a specific kind of complex peptide (short-chain polypeptides) containing up to 30 or 40 different amino acids and are found in the central and the peripheral nervous system that act by affecting neurotransmitters in the skin. Acting as messengers in the body, these molecules perform specific functions and serve as an activation point for cellular function in skin. This process reduces inflammation, increases collagen and elastin, repairs damaged skin and aging skin (wrinkles), and also increases blood circulation.

SH-Decapeptide-9 (SH-DP-9)

Racinne developed the Advanced SH-DP-9 Synthesis to integrate powerful neuropeptides into our Ultimate Youth Power Series to correct fine lines, minimize large pores and restore a youthful glow. Neuropeptides are secreted from the brain and nerve cells when our skin is injured, and act on cell surface receptors to repair damage. As we grow older, our ability to produce neuropeptides weakens, causing wrinkles and pigmentation. SH-DP-9 (sh-Decapeptide-9) is a synthetically produced peptide consisting of amino acids arginine, glycine, leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, proline and tyrosine.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline) is a peptide consisting of six amino acids that works by relaxing the facial muscles that cause repeated facial expression wrinkling (crow.s feet, laugh lines, etc.).

This molecule is a non-toxic, non-irritant compound that modulates the excessive stimulation of the facial muscles , relaxing facial tension and it also reduces the depth of already formed wrinkles.

An anti-aging peptide comprised of six amino acids attached to a fatty acid group inhibits the formation and progression of expression related fine lines and wrinkles.

Copper Tripeptide-1

Copper tripeptide-1 stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin. Also known simply as copper, this mineral is an important trace element for human nutrition. The body needs copper to absorb and utilize iron, and copper is also a component of the powerful antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. The synthesis of collagen and elastin is in part related to the presence of copper in the body. There is research demonstrating that copper is effective for wound healing and for anti-aging due to its inhibitory effect on matrix metalloproteinases and stimulation of fibroblasts that build healthy collagen.

Utilizing seven years of dedicated research and development into state-of-the-art beauty technology, Racinne's affiliated R&D laboratories perform innovative research and development on the anti-aging process and skin diseases using cutting-edge biotechnology. Our laboratories develop raw materials with high efficacy in anti-aging and therapeutic effects. Their products are functional synthetic peptides, plant callus culture extracts, recombinant proteins, and novel nanobiomaterials.

Production

Racinne's affiliated manufacturing facilities are the two largest cosmetic plants in South Korea and are dedicated to developing products using the latest technologies in the beauty industry. These facilities are CGMP- and ISO-certified, among other certifications, all of which demonstrate the world-class level of Racinne's production and quality management systems.
